Holiday Session FAQs

  • Absolutely! Santa is only part of select experiences. Holiday Minis and Private Holiday Sessions are available without Santa, so you can choose the experience that feels right for your family.

  • Holiday Minis are short-and-sweet sessions offered on select dates with a featured holiday scene. Private Holiday Sessions give us more time together, allowing for a more relaxed pace, additional variety, and multiple groupings.

  • This season, the studio will feature our Studio Tree Farm, Hot Cocoa Christmas, and classic Christmas Tree scenes. Available scenes vary by session and date, so be sure to check the individual booking page for the scene included with your session.

  • Yes! Hot Cocoa Christmas is available both with and without Santa during select sessions. It’s designed to be interactive, joyful, and full of genuine little moments.

  • Families are welcome! Some sessions are especially well suited for children and siblings, while others allow more time for full-family portraits and different groupings. Check your selected session for specific details and family-size limits.

  • Once you book, you’ll receive helpful information to prepare for your session, including wardrobe guidance. In general, soft neutrals, warm textures, classic Christmas colors, and coordinated—not perfectly matching—outfits photograph beautifully with our holiday scenes.

  • Our Santa Experiences are about much more than a quick photo. Children have time to interact with Santa, share their wishes, laugh, and enjoy a little Christmas magic while I photograph the moments as they naturally unfold.

  • That’s completely okay. There’s no pressure for a perfect Santa pose. We’ll give your child space to warm up and capture the experience as it happens—even if that means a little distance from Santa at first.

  • Each session includes a specific number of professionally edited digital images. You’ll receive a proof gallery to make your selections, and additional images or a full-gallery upgrade may be available depending on the session.

  • Holiday sessions are offered in limited quantities, and popular dates—especially Santa Experiences—can fill quickly. Booking early gives you the best selection of dates and times.

  • Holiday sessions take place indoors at the Ruth & Grace Co. studio in St. Augustine, so you can enjoy all the Christmas atmosphere without worrying about Florida weather.
